Taquerías Atotonilco in Little Village offers a chill atmosphere with a touch of traditional Mexican flair. From the moment you walk in, the delicious aroma of cooking food fills the air, instantly transporting you to Mexico. The music and ambient sounds of food being prepared add to the authentic vibe, making it a delightful sensory experience. As soon as I walked in, I was hit with that amazing smell of food being cooked the kind that makes your stomach start doing a happy dance. It was like being transported straight to a vibrant market in Mexico. I was craving tacos de barbacoa like a long-lost love, and let me tell you, they did not disappoint. When the tacos arrived, I knew I was in for a treat. They were generously packed with tender, succulent barbacoa. I took my first bite and oh boy, it was like a party in my mouth. The meat was so tender, it felt like it was giving my taste buds a gentle hug. And that salsa! Just the right amount of kick, with a hint of lime that brought everything together in a perfect dance of flavors. I swear, my mouth was doing the salsa and merengue at the same time. I have to mention the tortillas too. They were fresh and warm, with that slight chewiness that tells you they've been made with love. Each bite was a reminder of why I love Mexican food so much. I'm already plotting my return to Taquerías Atotonilco to explore the rest of their menu. If you're in Little Village and in the mood for some amazing Mexican food, do yourself a favor and check this place out. Your taste buds will thank you!

Best torta in chicago. The asada is arracherra grilled perfectly. Tacos are great too. Some would say the best in the city. This is the original location and the one to come to. They also have amazing (really sweet) fruit liquado shakes. I always have the strawberry.

Easily the best tacos in Chicago, period! Been comin here since I was a kid, always consistent. They used to be cash only for the longest time up until the last couple years. You can't go wrong with the torta de milanesa(beef) or the carne asada tacos or both! Very efficient servers & cooks, it does get crowded on the weekends so be prepared.
